David, an MVP Black Belt Consultant, has more than 25 years of experience in the collision repair business. David began his collision repair career while still in high school.  First jobs as a prepper and detailer evolved to offer experience in each area of the technical repair process.  After college, David served as a dealer collision center manager where he learned many valuable lessons—what to do and what not to do.  His most valuable takeaway was a keen understanding of what skills a true leader needs to manage a team through change.  For the past 20 years, David has been a collision industry consultant and trainer, working with progressive-minded shop owners throughout North America. David holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Public Relations as well as an MBA from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri.

From my perspective

Collision repairers must learn how to “prove” what makes their business unique and better than the competition. Anyone can “say” they do excellent work or that they provide the best service. Proof is the key. If you can prove that your business outperforms the competition in throughput, service and quality, there will exist an extremely powerful message for marketing and growing your business with insurers and consumers alike.
