Through this intensive 2-day program, filled with highly interactive exercises, role plays, and case studies, participants will learn to apply foundational communication principles. COURSE OBJECTIVE
To provide owners and managers with the effective communication skills needed to maximize the performance of everyone in their organization.
TOPICS COVERED
TRACOM© WORK/SOCIAL STYLES MODEL – Course participants will study the four-work styles model of the TRACOM Group and take a personal assessment that identifies their preferred style of communicating with management and co-workers.
LISTENING & QUESTIONING SKILLS – How effective are your listening and questions skills? Course participants will learn effective techniques that improve both their listening and questioning capabilities. Improving these skills can result in significant improvements in organizational effectiveness.
TEAM MEETING FACILITATION – Conducting productive company meetings is an art that both managers and team leaders should learn. If you want to improve the contribution, participation, productivity, and results of your team meetings, this is the class for you.
BRAIN STORMING AND PROBLEM SOLVING – The productivity of any organization is directly related the quality of ideas generated by employees. Learn how to get the most out of team members to build a performance based organization that generates ideas and grass-roots base solutions.
VERBAL & NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION – Do you understand the impact that both verbal and non-verbal communication has in your organization? The fact is; when these two communication modes are in conflict, your organization sends mixed messages that result in decreased morale, lower productivity, and confusion on the shop floor. Learn how these powerful communication tools can impact your organization.
HIGHLY INTERACTIVE ACTIVITIES – The Art of Communication was created to be a highly interactive class that enables participants to not only learn new supervisory and communication skills, but to actually practice these skills with classmates in a safe, fun environment. Through the real-world application of role plays, meeting presentations, and simulated case studies, participants will test-drive their newly learned skills before returning back to the shop.

CERTIFICATION & TRAINING MATERIALS
II-CAR students are eligible to receive 3.75 Gold Class points for this course. Automotive Management Institute (AMI) students are eligible to receive 28 Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) credits. Participants will receive a student manual, course hand-outs, lunch, refreshments, and an MVP certificate of completion.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
