Early Bird Seminar (Optional)
Introduction to X-Ray repair planning
With Mike Gunnells and David Knapp
IMPROVING QUALITY, SPEED AND PROFITABILITY THROUGH METICULOUS REPAIR PLANNING
The Pareto Principle, also known as the “80-20 Rule,” states that for many events, roughly 80% of results come from 20% of effort. And this principle clearly applies to the process of collision repair based on the fact that as much as 80% of production efficiencies can be attributed to 20% of the effort that goes into a collision repair job.
If you want to improve your production efficiencies focus on those critical few efforts like repair analysis, estimating, parts procurement and scheduling, collectively referred to as REPAIR PLANNING.
Join us for this early bird seminar and learn what hundreds of shop owners and managers are doing to improve their repair planning processes through the development and implementation of meticulous mapping, meticulous disassembly and meticulous parts management. Learn how you can improve your Quality, Speed and Profitability through Meticulous Repair Planning.
**Space is limited! This Seminar is open to the 1st 60 registered participants.
A prioritized waiting list will be created after first 60 registered participants.
Please register promptly and sign up to be included.**

Selling Across The Generations
With Cam Marston
Cam Marston, founder and president of Generational Insight, has spent years studying the collective histories and traits of the Matures, Boomers, Xers and Millennials to discover what makes each generation tick.
The first rule of selling is steadfast: Know your customer. With four distinct generations playing active roles in the buying decisions of companies worldwide, that tenet is increasingly difficult to fulfill. It is no longer enough to be personable and knowledgeable about your product. To succeed in today's business climate, you need to approach each buyer with an informed generational perspective - recognizing the underlying biases, values and expectations that pave the way to "yes".
In this presentation, Cam Marston looks inside each generation's core values to identify what forms their buying decisions and gives you the understanding required to develop a solid sales process based on known generational biases and business preferences.
You will learn how to:
• Identify subtle shifts that indicate upcoming leadership changes
• Create a fast and genuine connection with new customers
• Sell to your customers expectations, not your own
• Build or rebuild trust between the generations
• Highlight appropriate product selling points for each audience
• Avoid common communication pitfalls

Layout And Design
It’s not about moving a frame machine or drawing lines on the floor
With Tom Nicholas and Tim Fitzgerald
PPG Industries
Tom Nicholas has been studying lean transformation principles and applying them with PPG customers large and small for the past two years. Find out what possibilities your shop and office floor space really contain as Tom and Tim take you through lay-out and design in the lean world.
This two hour seminar will cover the thought processes around designing a collision center for throughput. Topics covered will include: How to collect your job mix data, applying departmental efficiencies to understand capacities, identifying WIP levels to optimize throughput, reviewing the limitations of traditional production processes and how facility layout can impact throughput. The conversion path from a traditional to a Lean facility does not require a new building or to have the cars in a line, but it does require the continual focus on process improvement and a willingness to sustain change.
You will take away a clear understanding of how movement of equipment, production lanes tools and equipment and office re-organization will improve production flow and add new efficiencies to your system.
