The damage estimate is the critical first step in the repair process. Doing it right consistently and throughput performance, insurance relations and profitability can improve dramatically. IMPACT OF ESTIMATING ON YOUR BUSINESS – Cross training of estimators based on the Leading Change workshop

WRITING A TECHNICALLY ACCURATE ESTIMATE – Learn the best practices of estimate preparation based on all department’s requirements

THROUGHPUT PERFORMANCE BASICS
– Participants will take an in-depth look into the dynamics impacting repair cycle time. This course explores the principles of Little’s Law and participants will gain a firm understanding of how to improve their estimating practices for reducing cycle time.

ESTIMATING BEST PRACTICES – Analyzing collision repair damage, energy distribution, new materials and metals used by manufacturers

ESTIMATING & DIRECT REPAIR PROVIDERS – Reference materials and interpretations of P-page logic as published by the estimating information providers. Group exercises for preparing a visible damage estimate and comparing estimating practices to actual repair requirements.

STANDARD TOOLS OF THE ESTIMATING PROCESS – Overview of estimating and other information systems and how to use these systems to maximize estimating effectiveness.

5S WORKPLACE & ESTIMATING ENVIRONMENTS – Learn how to apply the 5-S principle to the estimating department

VISUAL CONTROL & MANAGEMENT PRACTICES – How to implement visual tools to better manage and communication the estimating process

ESTIMATING & THE QUALITY REPAIR PROCESS – Learn the best practices to tie the estimate with the repair quality

CERTIFICATION & TRAINING MATERIALS
I-CAR students are eligible to receive 3.50 Gold Class points for this course. Automotive Management Institute (AMI) students are eligible to receive 28 Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) credits. Participants will receive a student’s manual, course handouts, lunch, refreshments and an MVP certificate of completion.
